Publishing Concepts, Inc. completed the process of contacting all 65 years of CD grads, and published the "2021 65th Anniversary Alumni Directory", listing all grads they were able to locate and who gave permission to have the information published. Now that the research has been completed, the CDHSAA will maintain a database of listings for our records. BIO since 1959: Moved to Lancaster, PA. upon graduation from West Chester University, 1963. Also studied composition privately in Philadelphia and New York. Taught one year, hated it, but stayed on in Lancaster working for Dun & Bradstreet and doing free-lance music (composing/music directing) and writing. First concert song cycle performed at West Chester and later at a new music concert at the U. of PA. in Philadelphia in 1965. Moved into pop music and wrote several musicals which were performed at the Fulton Opera House and the Annerburg Center (The Prophet, after Gibran) in Philadelphia, and a Rock Mass which is currently in development here in California. Eventually scored several short films (including Otto Messmer and Felix the Cat) for Academy Award-winning animator, John Canemaker, in New York. Developed a sideline in free lance critical/scholarly writing, mainly dealing with films and film music of the Hollywood studio era, 1950-1965. Have been published in various film and music journals and in books published by the Library of Congress. Did a music column for the notorious Scarlet Street, the Magazine of Mystery and Horror, for over a decade. Sick of Lancaster, I finally moved to southern California with my parter in the late 1990s. My score for The Glass Menagerie, written in Pennsylvania, was used in a revival out here and the LA Times called it "enormously effective....." Continued writing and publishing on film music, including program notes for the LA Philharmonic, liner notes for Film Score Monthly soundtrack CD releases (including RAINTREE COUNTRY which I first saw at Loew's Regent theater in Harrisburg in 1959), and various articles and reviews. Special thanks to Mrs. Irene Christman and her college prep music classes at C.D.H.S. for helping me discover both my musical and literary potential
